I LOVED the film Paris Je t’Aime. A lot. So much so that (I bought the DVD and) afterwards I went to Paris. And then gave the film to Mark and Leanne to accompany their trip there this summer.
This spoils the film a bit, but is the final scene from the 16e arrondissement… from someone else’s upload. Other neighbourhood’s vignettes capture Paris better (IMHO) but this one captures something that makes it a favourite, too.
It reminds me: why I like learning French, what Paris has to offer, and…..what traveling is all about. Perspective. (And overcoming?)
Side note: I loved New York I Love You, too. … and watched that one AFTER traveling to NYC. Can’t wait to get there this summer, too.
