Theatre vs. Theater

Written by travisr on September 20th, 2006

Goin’ to a play tonight.  Of Mice and Men.  I don’t know why I keep calling it Catcher in the Rye.  Are they even similar?  The only thing I can think of that they share, is controversy in School Libraries.  I guess it’s cool my mind constantly simplifies everything in Education References.   Must mean, [obviously], I’m cut out to be an amazing teacher.  I’m glad I get to watch Of Mice and Men because after so many Literature classes in university, it’s probably time to know the jist.

Speakin’ of goin’…. I’m goin’ to Edmonton this weekend too.  Worked out that I get to go for a bit of a mini-vacation while I get some business done.  I ♥ Edmonton.  Sure, it’s no Calgary, but I’m honestly pumped to go revisit the city of my Alma Matter.  It’ll be a great escape, and a welcome change from routine here.  Everyone here in Calgary should go to Edmonton more.  Our sister city isn’t so evil; I promise.

School, Plays, Giant Malls… something about whiskers… These are a few of my favourite things.  lol.

Post [going] Script:

The best laid schemes o’ mice an’ men
Gang aft agley,
An’ lea’e us nought but grief an’ pain
For promis’d joy.

It’s like RDC’S English 200 all over again, only with slightly more clarity.
